Lunch & Learn with Makeshark: SEO, Google Ads and Online Reviews

Last week Versa welcomed Dustin Pearce, owner and founder of Makeshark for a lunch and learn. Dustin covered topics that small business owners are often left to figure out on their own or outsource at great cost: SEO, Google Ads, and Online Reviews. Each of these marketing tools is important to get your best self in front of your future customers.

In one all-too-brief hour, the room of small business owners and their associates learned tips and tricks from Dustin and was lively with questions.

Takeaways:

  • People have developed "ad blindness" on Google, so purchase Google Ads with the largest profit margin.
  • Generate back links (a link to your website on another website) to increase SEO. One way to do this is by getting earned media coverage. An example of earned media coverage is this article about Versa in Newswire.
  • Ask for Google Reviews and other online reviews from customers often, but never incentivize as you risk losing all reviews.

Keep on learning and hope to see you at Versa soon. Upcoming classes, seminars and Lunch & Learns are found here.
