PRSA Luncheon: Into the Storm, a Lesson in Crisis Communications

Join us as we host Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for an educational lucheon.

On February 10, 2018, two Westerville Division of Police officers were shot and killed after responding to a 9-1-1 hang-up call. In the hours, days and weeks that followed, the city of Westerville had to help navigate and communicate the first line of duty deaths in the city’s history.

Join PRSA Central Ohio Chapter and special guest, City of Westerville’s Community Affairs Director/Public Information Officer, Christa Dickey, for a presentation of how she led public information and media relations efforts for the city of Westerville during this tragic event. Christa can also discuss crisis communications best practices and PRSA’s
"Crisis Communication Certificate Program" which she completed just months before the shooting.
